AI Credits FAQ
- Do AI Credits replace Vocabaura+?
- No. AI Credits are a pay-as-you-go alternative for occasional AI use. Vocabaura+ is the membership: it includes 150 AI Credits of usage every month, plus an ad-free experience.
- What happens when my balance reaches zero?
- Nothing is revoked. Dictionary searches, definitions, pronunciation, synonyms, antonyms, Word of the Day and Discover stay free. Only credit-eligible Vocabaura+ AI actions pause until you buy more credits or get Vocabaura+.
- Am I charged if an AI request fails?
- No. Credits are only permanently deducted when a request completes successfully. Failed, timed-out or rejected requests are refunded automatically, and each request is idempotent so retries never double-charge you.
- I'm a Vocabaura+ member, will my purchased credits be used?
- Only as a backup. Your included monthly allowance is always spent first, and purchased credits are used only after it runs out before your renewal date. They never expire.
- Do credits expire?
- No. Purchased AI Credits remain in your account until you use them.
- Will I know what something costs before it runs?
- Yes. Every credit-eligible action shows its cost and asks you to confirm before it starts, and your balance is shown alongside it. There are no background charges.
- Can I get a refund on a credit pack?
- Yes, Vocabaura offers a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee on credit packs. Where a pack is refunded, unused credits from that purchase may be removed. Full details are in the Refund Policy.
- Do credits do anything to the free dictionary?
- No. Searching, definitions, pronunciation, examples, word relationships and every free learning activity work the same whether your balance is 400 or zero.

Vocabaura+ includes 150 AI Credits of usage each month. That allowance is always spent first and resets at the start of each billing cycle; purchased credits only step in once it runs out, and they never expire.
